We are looking for an energetic and hands-on Privacy counsel/DPO to strengthen Webfleet Solutions legal team with his/her expertise in a highly dynamic, international environment. In this position as DPO, you will safeguard Webfleet Solutions' practices comply with data protection laws, you will closely work together with all types of business stakeholders and provide pragmatic advice to their fast-moving global business.
- Further develop, implement and maintain Webfleet Solutions' global privacy compliance program, policies, procedures and controls;
- Provide privacy support to the sales teams to help close commercial deals with prospective customers in the Fleet Management Services and Connected Car services industry;
- Inform and advise (data) engineers and other stakeholders about their obligations in the handling and processing of personal data under GDPR and other applicable data protection provisions;
- Provide on the job training to product managers and software engineers regarding privacy & data protection;
- Advise on data privacy impact assessments and assist in data breach response, and report on same as appropriate;
- Work closely with the other legal team members with regards to data protection aspects, particularly with respect to contracting;
- You act as an ambassador for Webfleet Solution at f.e. privacy seminars, conferences etc. You are well able to create broad support for the privacy program at Webfleet Solutions.
Requirements (Senior) Data Privacy Officer at Webfleet Solutions
To be successful, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:
- Master’s degree in law;
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including relating to data protection, ideally gained at an international reputable law firm and/or in an in-house IT/Tech environment;
- Ability to find practical, pragmatic and creative solutions to compliance issues;
- Well-developed understanding of GDPR and ePrivacy directive;
- A good grasp of technology industry and trends particularly regarding privacy and data security;
- But of course besides these requirements, other skills are very important as well;
- Self-starting, committed to operational excellence, independent work attitude and result driven;
- Strong written and oral communications skills in English and Dutch, and the ability to communicate privacy concepts and requirements to all levels in- and outside of the company;
- Knowledge of other languages, especially German and French (due to the scope of the legal activities) is a considerable advantage.
