Job description Legal Counsel Elekta
Elekta’s legal team consists of experienced lawyers located across the world, who work together as one dynamic team. The team also works in close cooperation with the other functions of the company and actively participate in the day-to-day work of the business. The intention is that each member of the team develop and challenge themselves every day at work. The team always strives to provide the best possible solutions for the business considering both the commercial expectations and the legal requirements. Key words for this team are innovative, proactive and accessible. The legal team is also supported by the Compliance, IP, RA and QA functions.
In this position, located in Veenendaal, you will:
- Be the key legal support and Business Partner to the Senior Management team of Business Line Brachytherapy (Based in the Veenendaal office), including providing support on Business Development Projects, Strategic Partnerships and M&A activities;
- Provide full legal support to the Nucletron legal entities in the Netherlands, including supporting on employment and real estate matters (with external support where needed);
- Perform Corporate Governance compliance activities and Elekta internal governance requirements;
- Provide legal support to Procurement and R&D functions, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts (including international) and providing legal risk reviews, analysis and recommendations;
- provide initial support on Compliance, IP and Regulatory matters and involve and liase with Elekta’s specialist Compliance, IP and RA teams;
- Provide legal support to the commercial/sales team in the Netherlands, including for Public tenders;
- Provide legal support to other Business Lines as agreed with Business Line General Counsel and in particular to BL MRL.
As a member of the legal team, you will develop and provide training to business clients as well as to interact closely with the other lawyers in the team and support them in different projects.

Job Requirements Legal Counsel Elekta
To be a suitable candidate for this position you will be a Dutch law qualified lawyer (MUST HAVE) with between six and ten years of work experience gained in a mix of top tier Dutch law firm and in-house, knowledge of the Medical Device Industry, including Regulatory knowledge (FDA, MDR, etc.) is a plus.You will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced international commercial contracts environment and you are full time available.
Excellent knowledge in English is essential as the official Group language is English and international contacts occurs on a daily basis for this role.
