Legal Contractmanager Thales (Huizen)

A wide range of business is operated from the location of Thales Huizen. Thales Huizen develops and produces its own product called SOTAS. SOTAS is a tactical radio and communication solution for military vehicles, which is sold worldwide through other directly to the customers or through other Thales entities. Furthermore, Thales Huizen offers cyber- and site security for different customers and maintains some trainers and simulators for the Dutch army. An important site security project is in collaboration with Unica where Thales develops and deploys a security system covering all defense locations in the Netherlands from a central control room.

For Thales Huizen we are looking for a Legal Contractmanager.

The Position Legal Contractmanager Thales (Huizen)

As a legal contract manager your activities will focus on the capturing and the subsequent execution of sales contracts. This means that you’re involved from the drafting and negotiation until the closing of a contract when all obligations from Thales’ and the customer have been fulfilled. As Thales' counterparties are all over the world, travelling will be (from time to time) part of the job.

Key in this position are the contract management activities to protect Thales’ position vis-à-vis its partners and customers in the especially the Middle East and the Netherlands; e.g. ensuring that all team members know the contract, claims are handled and plus/minus list are kept up-to-date. 

Above, you may be the specialist within the team on certain legal topics, such as for example intellectual property, GDPR, purchasing, compliance or environmental regulations.

You’ll plan and organize your activities yourself. Often driven by the customer’s time schedule, which may change on a daily basis. Being flexible and able to continuously monitor and adapt your priorities is therefore of utmost importance. Within the Thales organization the colleagues in the sales and projects departments will be the ones to team with.

The Profile Legal Contractmanager Thales (Huizen)

You have a Dutch Bachelor (HBO/University) or Master Degree in law and look forward to a second or third step in your career. You have experience working in a law firm or as a legal counsel/ contracting specialist, in a multinational company. You avail of up-to-date legal knowledge. You have an interest to work in an international and challenging environment where you, besides the legal aspects, will need to also understand the technical, financial and commercial aspects of a contract. Furthermore, you have a strong and independent personality, are solution-focused, excellent in team work, able to manage different stakeholders and can set priorities. You are client-focused, have outstanding negotiating skills and good command of, both oral and written, Dutch and English. A Dutch passport is a prerequisite due to contracts with the Dutch Government that are ‘Dutch eyes only’.
